Child malnutrition in India is a chronic problem and a longstanding challenge for public administration of India. As per End-2014 results, India observed a dramatic fall in underweight and stunted children (from 48 % to 39 %, 2005-06 and 2013-14), translating to 14.5 million fewer stunted children, a big achievement for India, home to the shortest kids in the world. NGO Save the Children provides food ration support, undertakes food rehabilitation activities, medical care as well as conducts nutrition screening across India.
