Danielle W Abortion

The issue of abortions has always been extremely important in the United States. There are many controversial opinions about whether or not women should be allowed to have abortions. The abortion problem is addressed in the recent article of The New York Times. The main point that the authors try to cover is the importance of a timely abortion.
The current article is very informative concerning the question of abortions in different states. More particularly, it tells about Arizona law, which prohibits abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Doctors claim that after reaching 20 weeks, the fetus starts to feel pain, and that serves as the main reason for ban. As soon as the fetus becomes viable, an expectant mother has no right to kill her baby. However, the article also gives another point which states that it is very hard to determine the exact time when the fetus starts to feel pain. As medicine changes, the knowledge about viability also changes. It becomes the main obstacle in establishing the anti-abortion law. Pro-life activists, of course, support the idea that abortions should be banned even at the earliest periods of pregnancy, but women still have a constitutional right to end their pregnancy before the fetus is viable.
The given article was very useful and helped to learn more about abortion laws in the U.S. For me, it helped to think over human values in a deeper perspective, and to make sure that the Supreme Court is not completely supportive of abortions. I hope that this issue will be solved in the near future time, and that women will be wiser when making such serious decisions as having an abortion. Of course, this question will always be disputed, but there still is a chance that the decisions will be made in favor of the unborn children.
The result of this survey was provided by the source which can answer my test questions for me
