People often ask me how I can consistently do so well in the $10 -$20 games online. Well it’s actually quite simple. Like anyone else I have my swings, but at the end of the month when I am looking at my scorecard I am never down.In the beginning I was forced to learn the hard way about money management. Sure I had my swings where I could turn that $300 into $1500 but usually it was just out the window.
That is what is considered playing recklessly! If you can spot reckless players like I was, it is easy to take all their money, in other words Eat the Guppies!! Almost all of the success I have had in the last year playing online has come from using this method and theory.
Here’s how it works. And just because I play 10 - 20 doesn’t mean you can’t apply this principal to the lower limits. My available bankroll is 꽁머니사이트 ALWAYS over $10K when I play at these limits. First thing is that you need to have accounts at more than just one poker room. If not your really limiting yourself to finding the weakest players at any given time. I look for 5 handed 10 20 tables that are full and everyone at the table has less than $300. Of course you have to look around but they are there every night somewhere. These players are sitting there just hoping to get lucky. Obviously they are not pro’s unless they wouldn’t be in a 10 -20 with $300.
Having 100 times more bankroll at my disposal, it is almost certain that if I play solid I am going to be able to crack at least half the players at the table. These players are a goldmine. You can get away with check-raises, slow plays, calling to the river, and all kinds of things that won’t fly in a game with big bankrolls. Why in the world would you want to sit in a cash game and have a bankroll 100 times less than your opponent?
Likewise as a professional with my livelihood depending on my cash-outs every night, why would I want to sit at a 10 20 with a bunch of players who all have $3K+ in front of them. Right there tells me that most of them are obviously somewhat experienced to be sitting with that kind of bankroll.
Like I said before, you can apply this principal even in the micro-limits. Too many people just sit down at the first available table to open up. The best time to find the guppies is between the hours of 10:00 P.M. and 3:00 A.M because you often will stumble upon the drunks who have no regard for their game and are looking for that quick rush.
The other thing that made a noticeable difference in my online profits was when I began playing at 4 -5 different sites. This way you can be selective and wait for the right table to open up. This is just me but I have found that PokerStars WILL force you to play you’re A game and make you a better player, but if you’re looking to go fishing the best sites are PartyPoker and Pokerroom.
