+ New Rule: Player’s Advisory Committees should be allowed to, at least, advise.
+ I know we pick on the WSOP a lot but when you are the big gorilla in the forest, you gotta expect that. The 2006 WSOP had a player’s advisory committee and I heard at least two members of that group say to player’s asking them for help:
+ “Don’t ask us, we have no power whatsoever.”
+ What poker does not need right now is window-dressing or corporate double-speak. Doing this "Poker is Becoming a Major Sport" thing right means a better game for everyone. Everyone means more and more players and therefore more and more customers for the big card rooms and big tournaments.
+ New Rule: There should be a player advisory committee for each tour.
+ ...and I would include a dealer and a floor person on that committee.
+ WSOP Circuit Final Table
+ LAKE TAHOE, NV--There was an amazing chip-and-a-chair story brewing ... Randy Rodgers from Reno got it all-in with pocket 10s vs. pocket kings, and the favorite held up. He began walking away from the table but was called back ... he still had a single 500 chip. (Blinds were like 1k/2k with a 300 ante.) He was all-in again on the next hand with K-Q and flopped trip queens, but his pothead opponent had flopped a boat. Ultra-bearded dude was plenty congratulatory when the fourth queen came on the river and Rodgers septupled up.
+ A few rounds later he had rebuilt his stack to nearly 50,000 -- and the crowd suddenly had a favorite. Alas, he made it to the faux final table (they reseated when down to 10) but busted out in shortly thereafter. Still ... a nice example of a single 500 chip being worth more than $2,400 in increased payout.
+ So with Rodgers gone, here's the final table for tomorrow, where the payouts range from $12k to $196k:

Creatively divided up into three sections, the menu offers small plates like tapas, sushi and oysters, and for a heartier appetite there are mini-Kobe beef burgers, filet mignon, lobster or other seafood options.
+ 19rest.jpgIf you are willing to splurge a little, then don't waste time getting to the elevator. 19 has an extensive wine list, and the wait staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to pairing. I highly recommend the sea bass, which is served on a bed of risotto and grilled shrimp, but if you are a Kobe beef lover, then the little burger trio is a must. Served together on a plate as three tiny burgers, they might look dainty, but they are definitely a meal. No matter what your culinary delight might be, this is a meal to be enjoyed.
