Vulcanizing agent for rubber is a cross-linked product of natural rubber and polydiene-elastomers. The most widely used vulcanizing agent is sulfur. It forms bonds between individual polymer molecules when heated with rubber.

 

There are two types: organic and inorganic vulcanizing agents.
