Is this Grinding situs slot ???
The recent situs slot online event got me addicted to playing online again. After I swore off of online poker for various reasons, I am back playing consistently. There is one thing that I am staying away from online though and that is the ring games. I don't mind telling you but I absolutely SUCK at the ring games. I do well at ring games here at home. I have done well at ring games in casinos but I have tried I don't know how many times and I always, always, always lose money at the ring games online. Whether it be limit, no-limit, pot-limit, etc. I get my A$$ handed to me.
I don't know if it is the fact that online I am much more stingy with betting real money because of the unknown factor of online play or what. I can't figure it out. So instead of keeping on and on I am going to stick to my forte. I know my bankroll may not increase the way that I would like for it to but I am comfortable and am consistently beating SNGs.
My forte is SNGs of all types. Heads-up, 1-table, 2-table, etc. Playing only $20 NLHE SNGs and $5 PL Omaha SNGs I have managed to build $50 into $421 in the span of time since I uploaded $50 to play in the WPBT. I don't have PokerTracker or anything (because I am a miser and don't want to come off with the cash) but from memory over the last few weeks I have won about 4 or 5 $20 SNGs, 5 $5 SNGs, and cashed in about 4 or 5 others I believe. Plus I won a couple of heads-up $20 SNGs as well.
I started off my run (after the WPBT 13th showing) winning 5 $5 PL Omaha SNGs in a row. Yes in a row. I have since proceeded to cash in only 1 other $5 PL Omaha SNG and I believe my rush in the beginning has created an upsetting ego when it comes to Omaha where I will call a raised pot pre-flop with something like 26Q9 rainbow because I think I am going to flop QQ9 or something ridiculous. I have got to get a handle on that though because I absolutely love PL Omaha and it is my current poker addiction right now and is costing me $5 a pop to have my ego deflated only to have me bow my chest out and say "OH YEAH... WELL YOU DIDN'T WIN 5 IN A ROW!!!" I totally believe there is such a thing as reverse tilt where you think you have become invincible and begin hemorrhaging greenbacks. Luckily for some unknown reason my rush in Omaha didn't screw up my NLHE play.
On the home front I finished 2nd in the HPL1, Season1 league collecting $125 for that. This was alot of fun and we have already started a HPL2 and are starting the 2nd season of the HPL1 as well.
Hopefully soon our showdown with the Lord Admiral crew will happen which should be a blast. I was thinking the other day that it would be fun to do this sometime and podcast the event and then edit it down to the top plays kinda like ESPN does with their WSOP coverage. I need to mention this to Sean.
Anyways... it had been a while since the last post and my pretty good showing in the WPBT so I wanted to put up a little post about my poker experiences over the past few weeks just to blow the dust off this blog. Overall things are looking good and maybe when my bankroll hits $1000 online I will loose my grip on the $55 for PokerTracker.
