Spartacus was a Thracian combatant who, alongside the Gauls Crixus, Oenomaus, Castus and Gannicus, was one of the got away slave pioneers in the Third Servile War, a real slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Little is thought about Spartacus past the occasions of the war, and surviving recorded records are now and again conflicting and may not generally be solid. All sources concur that he was a previous combatant and an expert military pioneer.
